Visit our Open Roles page to search by department, location, and employment type. Make sure to review the requirements carefully before applying.

When applying for a position at ALX Africa, please include the following:

  1. An up-to-date CV highlighting relevant experience and achievements
  2. If requested, a thoughtful cover letter explaining your interest and fit
  3. Portfolio or work samples (if applicable)

Yes! Apply for roles that match your skills and interests, but we ask that you limit your application to 2-3 roles maximum and submit only one application per position.

We mostly accept applications on a rolling basis. If not selected, you may apply for new roles after several months, ensuring your experience matches the requirements.

If you know anyone working at ALX Africa, ask them to refer you. Additionally, you should indicate their name in the relevant section when applying for the position.

Hiring steps

Our typical process includes:

  • Application review: Submit your online application and make a great first impression.
  • Intro call with the team: Meet the team, learn about the role, and ask questions.
  • Role-specific assignment: Complete a role-specific task to showcase your skills. This is the most important step of the hiring process.
  • Team interviews: Interview with team members and assess mutual fit.
  • Offer and reference checks: Receive a formal offer if selected, after reference checks.

The process usually takes 4-6 weeks, though timing may vary by role. For more details, check out our Hiring Process page. We look forward to seeing your application!

Tech roles include practical assignments and, in some cases, live coding sessions to assess your skills. We look for strong technical foundations and alignment with our values.

    Work Arrangements

Yes! While most of our roles are on-site and require in-person presence at city locations across Africa, we offer hybrid and fully remote options as well. Make sure you understand this in the details of the job listing you are applying for, or confirm this with your recruiter to be sure.

We handle visa sponsorship on a case-by-case basis.

We often have part-time/freelance roles available. You can visit our Open Roles page and use the ‘Employment Types’ filter to find roles that are open as part-time. If none are listed, none are currently available.
